10 ton backpack Air Conditioner for bts shelters is specially designed for outdoor container energy storage cabinets, power shelters and other applications that require heat dissipation, industrial air coolers have active cooling, heating, and dehumidification functions, creating a good temperature environment for the reliable operation of electronic power and battery equipment, and reducing equipment failure rates
◆ Efficient rotary compressor: reliable and energy-saving, optional DC variable frequency compressor
◆ Intelligent communication: RS485 communication port and dry contact alarm output port, convenient for remote monitoring
◆ Display screen optional: on-site parameters can be set to display the temperature and operating status inside the cabinet
◆ High protection level: suitable for outdoor applications
◆ Easy to maintain design: reduces maintenance difficulty
◆ Integrated external circulation air inlet screen: to avoid clogging of the heat exchanger with flocs
◆ Environmentally friendly refrigerant: adding a touch of greenery to the Earth
Refrigeration: The high-pressure refrigerant liquid in the system enters the evaporator through throttling and evaporates to absorb heat. The air inside the cabinet that flows through the evaporator is cooled and cooled, forming a cold air blow out. The refrigerant that evaporates into gas in the evaporator is sucked in by the compressor and compressed into high-pressure and high-temperature refrigerant gas. It enters the condenser and exchanges heat with the external ambient air, and is cooled down to become refrigerant liquid, Enter the evaporator again to cool the indoor air and circulate it in sequence.
Dehumidification: The principle of system operation and refrigeration operation is completely consistent during dehumidification operation. The compressor is used for refrigeration and dehumidification. In order to avoid low temperature inside the cabinet during dehumidification, the system combines intelligent control to better carry out dehumidification operation.

Application
Telecom shelters (BTS, NodeB, small cell sites)
Outdoor equipment enclosures
Remote and urban mobile base stations
How to order
Selecting the best backpack air conditioner for your BTS (Base Transceiver Station) shelter is crucial to ensure optimal cooling, energy efficiency, and equipment longevity. Here are the key factors to consider:
Calculate heat load: Consider the size of the shelter, internal heat generated by telecom equipment, and ambient temperature.
Small BTS shelters (5–10 m²) → 3–5 tons (36,000–60,000 BTU)
Medium shelters (10–15 m²) → 5–8 tons (60,000–96,000 BTU)
Large shelters (15+ m²) → 8–12+ tons (96,000–144,000+ BTU)
Too small → Inadequate cooling, equipment overheating
Too large → Short cycling, humidity issues, higher energy costs
Standard Air Conditioning (DX Cooling) – Best for moderate climates.
Hybrid Cooling (DX + Free Cooling) – Uses outside air when temperatures allow, reducing energy use.
Thermal Storage Units – Useful in areas with frequent power outages.
Look for high EER (Energy Efficiency Ratio) or COP (Coefficient of Performance) ratings.
Variable Speed Compressors adjust cooling based on demand, saving energy.
Solar-compatible or DC-powered models are ideal for off-grid sites.
Weatherproof & Corrosion-Resistant – Protects against rain, dust, and salt (for coastal areas).
Wide Operating Temperature Range (–30°C to +55°C) for extreme climates.
Anti-Dust Filters – Prevent clogging in dusty environments.
Wall-mounted (backpack design) – Saves floor space.
Easy-access panels & removable filters – Simplifies maintenance in remote locations.
Remote monitoring & alarms – For real-time temperature and fault alerts.
Voltage compatibility (220V, 380V, 48V DC, etc.).
Low-voltage start capability for areas with unstable power.
Battery/solar backup support if grid power is unreliable.
<60 dB is ideal to avoid disturbances in urban areas.
Vibration-resistant mounting prevents noise from affecting equipment.
Choose reputable manufacturers with telecom industry experience.
Check warranty coverage (at least 2–3 years).
Ensure local service support for quick repairs.
For most BTS shelters, a 5–10-ton backpack AC with high energy efficiency, rugged construction, and remote monitoring is ideal. If the site has frequent power cuts, consider a hybrid or battery-backed system.
